When the shear resistance of prestressed beams with stirrups is determined current Eurocode, no distinction made between regions and without flexural cracks. This while it may be expected that a region cracks will have higher resistance. due to lower longitudinal strains narrow crack widths, resulting in contribution aggregate interlock. Also, Eurocode does not take into account cracks, significant part force transferred through uncracked flanges. article proposes therefore model, based on Modified Compression Field Theory (MCFT), consider low transfer From comparison was found proposed model can determine as accurately most comprehensive level III approach Model Code 2010. However, much easier use engineering practice iterations are necessary.
